I've been in this peaceful town last January of this year (2013) for a reason.Visitors are very much welcome here.Tourism are also promoted by the local government of unit of this town. Beach resort are the common tourist spot here. Mr. Ipe Yap is the current mayor for 2013 onwards. What intrigues me here is their mode of transportation. Why is the development in this town is so slow? Is it because politics? or just the town have less income. I don't want to conclude. Even business establishment like restaurants are only a few. Tricycles with pimp suspension (truck like) and "Pajaks" are the common mode of public transport here. You can see very few jeepneys here, maybe on a scheduled basis only.

As u can see in the above picture, mixed aged people are riding a jeep like tricycle with capacity of approximately 20 persons

It is the commonly used mode of transportation here, where it connects inter barangays. Even in unpaved roads, it's been a reliable and trusted mode of transportation for people here

"Pajaks" bicycle with sidecar are other modes used in this town for short distance travel.

Students, employee, ordinary people, etc. utilizing every space available in the tricycle

You can see clearly how many person riding outside is more than riding inside

Others choose to ride "pajaks" as special trip

In case accident happen, you cant imagine how dangerous this ride will be for student

Other trikes have customized roofing for rainy weather

Although, this type of tricycles have custom built "pasadya" suspension to increase weight load capacity of passenger it is still not design to have a lot of passengers. Standard tricycle have 4 passenger capacity only. As you can see in the pictures above, back riders are more than the sitted passengers. Safety should be our primary concern in public transportation. A single accident will cause injury to passengers riding this mode of transport. I hope in time, the LGU should discourage this and recommend to a better modes like mini bus or jeepney.
